The guy who took me fishing with him is Jim - my neighbor of 15 years who is like a grandfather to me. This summer his daughter brought her son (James) and his best friend (Andrew) into town. One of the things that Jim offered to do for us is take James, Andrew, and I charter fishing. I gladly came along because I've gone deep sea fishing before.
Little did ANY of us know that that particular day the seas were more rough than usual. Not like we could've done anything because we bought the tickets in advance, but even the people who worked as crew on the boat were having trouble getting around. I was seasick an hour into the boat ride out, and was seasick all day; didn't cast a single line. James was also getting seasick and even Jim, the retired Navy man, was sick, too. It turns out he suffered heat stroke (Thank you, Florida heat) and he slept on the bench next to me inside the cabin... along with about 15 other people who were seasick. So while Andrew did the fishing the three of us slept inside all day with ice packs and water bottles, trying to ignore the smell of dead fish, newly cut bait, and the un-sick people making noises while they sweets and chocolates. Okay, now to the pictures...
This first picture is one of James and I - about 30 minutes before we got back to shore.

Our limit for a party of four was 14 fish, and Andrew caught just that.

Andrew and his pile of fish... on a string. This picture amuses me. As a joke he kept telling the pile to "Stay... stay! Good fish."

I think I told him to stop being "gangster" and this is what he did.

Lastly, we were walking back to the truck when we saw this being weighed-in. No fabulous pictures of the just as equally large Swordfish but this Tuna will do. Gotta love Florida fishing.

The most that our boat caught was Red Snapper, which I hear is great to eat. I wouldn't know, I don't eat seafood. Some Grouper here and there, and one kid caught a King Fish. It was a great fishing trip; everyone stepped off the boat with something.
